Sometimes there's a line from a movie or something your friend or some famous bitch says that really sticks to you. Here, in Casa Hell, we love quotes. Andy Warhol's cray-cray quotes are posted up on the walls in the front room and just about every art piece I've done revolves around some quotant quotable. But, the best kind of quotes come from song lyrics. I love lying in my bed, listening to music, looking up the lyrics to the songs playing and just jamming along, sometimes jotting down a line or two that resonates. Alaska had the brilliant idea of keeping a quote journal, writing down any quote or song that she liked. And since we always do what the other does, I, of course, starting using the back of my journal to write down the quotes that I like. It's getting fuller and fuller.
A veces, someone else's words really connect to what you're feeling at the moment. Butttt how do they know what I'm thinking, Rae?? Ahh, the answer is easy. We are not alone, my brother. Some people just have a way with words. Repeat it to your friends and sound smart.
